Real Bride: Serverine

Several months ago, We had the pleasure of working with a very sweet and ultra talented bride, now a lovely wife, Serverine. Her birdcage turned out so stunning we decided to make it one of our signature pieces and named it after Serverine. We recently received some stunning photos from her day and wanted to share. BTW I am in awe of her wedding dress.... It is gorgeous!

Oh-so-pretty Serverine wearing a Pin Me Up custom hair piece and birdcage veil.

Another Beautiful Real Bride: Kelly

Kelly holds a special place with us here at Pin Me Up Couture, she was our very first buyer on ETSY:)

More photo's coming soon but for now take a look at this!!!

Our wedding was held at the Verdin Bell Event Center, so we knew we didn't want to compete with the beautiful colors of the stained glass at the location. When we selected bridesmaids dresses and colors, we knew we wanted to keep it neutral so that we could pull all of the beautiful stained glass colors out in flowers and other details. We selected black for the bridesmaids dresses and I knew that we needed something unique for jewelry or for the hair. After purchasing my first pinmeup headband, it gave me the great idea of using some type of fascinator for my bridesmaids. The dresses spoke for themselves, so the fascinators were a great addition that didn't take away from the beauty of the dresses. I contacted pinmeup to design 6 special fascinators for my bridesmaids and I couldn't have asked for more. The orchids were perfect with crystal additions and black and white polka dot feathers to add a little style. The size was perfect and quality was unbelievable. While I had my bridesmaids done, I had no idea what I wanted to do for myself. I looked into rhinestone brooches and other vintage items but never found anything that was perfect. I used Nancy from Brideface for my makeup at the wedding and during my trial at the Bridal Studio, I was able to try on some of the new pinmeup pieces. I found a perfect piece that went with my crystal studded birdcage and I am so happy I did. I loved the fascinator and it was perfect for my wedding day look. I am looking forward to working with pinmeup again for many other fun events around the holidays and hopefully for future events.

Thank you Kelly for sharing your story with us everything was perfect! Looking forward to working with you again.

Pink Wedding-Andreanne & Brian

Thank you Andreanne for sharing your wedding story & photo's!

blurb bride3

I’m married! Still can’t believe this day as come and gone! It was everything a wedding should be…perfect! My name is Andreanne and I’ve been wanting to get married forever! When I say forever…it’s true. At a very young age, my grandmother would buy me the wedding magazines…just for fun, and we would imagine my wedding day! What I signed up for was much bigger than any dreams! Ok, I’m very lucky, my mother, Carole, is a wedding cake baker and my godfather is a florist! My dream wedding was to get married at his house, by the water. He made it happen! I’ve found the best guy, Brian. He went all the way for this wedding.

I had a dress in mind and then I happened to go through and older magazine, I changed my mind when I found the perfect Monique Lhuillier dress…I bought it without trying it on. The dress is called Finesse…the perfect name for such a delicate gown! I new it was made for me! It had a vintage, romantic and different feel to it! That’s why, when I came across Pin Me Up Couture, I knew I had found the perfect veil to complete the outfit! It just pulled everything together! Thanks girls for making the veil so special! You’re the best!

I’m a pink girl, always have been. Everything had to be pink! As for the bridesmaid dresses, I wanted something flowy and feminine. They loved their dresses! The flowers…they had to be roses… 5 000 roses, they made the wedding magical…flowers everywhere! Nobody could ask for a better gift than flowers! They made my day! My cake was done by my mom…I’ve never seen her so nervous…it was amazingly good and beautiful! We had the most beautiful day of the summer. It was magical! The music was amazing, the food was great and everyone one had a fabulous time! The best thing about our wedding, we enjoyed it to the max! We just had a blast! We laugh, dance, cried and kiss all day long!
It was definitely the best day of our lives!

We Heart Special Customers

There is always something special about that first sale and with that being said we wanted to feature a very special customer. Kelly was our first customer when we joined etsy and funny enough we are only an hour apart. Kelly was sweet enough, despite her early summer sunburn to share a picture of her wearing our Greta Headband. We were thrilled to see one of our pieces come to life and on such an amazing girl and future bride. Kelly contacted us again to create some very fabulous bridesmaids pieces and we were happy to help her out! Look for Kelly's wedding to be featured in the early fall, we can not wait to see how beautiful she looks! Thank you Kelly for your support and confidence in us to create something special for you and your wedding day.

Congrads and Best Wishes xoxo

Congrads Jenny Sun!!

A month or so ago we held a contest for a Birdcage veil in conjunction with the "Wedding Chicks"our winner was Jenny Sun of Australia. Not only is she the sweetest girl but also mega talented! Check out her site and blog for some beautiful images. Below is what she posted when she received her veil. It was so cute and sweet we couldnt resist posting it........

"Now if you read yesterday's post of mine, you'll know I'm a HUGE lover of all things vintage. So when one of my FAVOURITE wedding blogs "Wedding Chicks"(if you are a bride, and are looking for FABULOUS ideas that are fresh, unique, and beautiful for your wedding, look no further than this blog. But trust me, you'll be hooked so make sure you have tonnes of time before sifting through this amazing site!) ran a competition with "Pin Me Up Couture" to give away one of their stunning couture head pieces, I was smitten. I knew I HAD to be part of it.
But looking at the sheer number of entries, I didn't think I'd have a chance in a blue moon in winning.
So when Wedding Chicks and Pin Me Up Couture wrote me an email saying I had WON, I was like ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! I never win anything!
You should have seen me, I looked like a small little girl getting her first ever Christmas Present and scoring like, a million barbie dolls. I was THAT happy. My family were looking at me as if I had been possessed or something! haha :)
Anyhow, I was only expecting one piece of my choice (below) to arrive in my mailbox:But to my surprise, Pin Me Up Couture, being as FABULOUS as they are, sent me an extra one, in PINK! YUM!! :DAnd brides, if you think these veils rock your socks off, wait til you see their AMAZING packaging. Get one for yourself now and blown out of the water by it :)Thank you SO much to
Wedding Chicks (BRIDES, check out this blog and REGULARLY from now! You have no excuse for no ideas for your wedding day now!) for running the competition, and a HUGE thanks to Pin Me Up Couture for making such stunning head pieces to wear on the big day. Thank you for picking lil ol' me. You have no idea how much it made my day :)xoxo"

The New It Girl Accessory

Whats the hottest wedding trend right now? The bridesmaid headpiece. Girls are flocking to have adorable fascinators and flowers that either match or coordinate with one another. Try a simple ribbon headband with a few feathers or go all out and have mini veils for your girls and of coarse dont forget the flower girl. They are already cute as a button but put a little flower in her hair and voila she feels like the big girls. Look to our etsy store for more ideas and as always give us your vision and we will create it.

Pink Cup Cakes and Summer

It is finally here.....our new summer line "Sweet Treats" along with a few teasers for the fall line, "Falling in Love" We have worked hard and put lots of hours into the new pieces and we are in love with the result. "Sweet Treats" was inspired by whimiscal summer prints, flirty flowers, and some very inspiring brides we have been working with. Our fabulous model, Kristen, made the job all the more fun; her beauty and style brought our visions to life and we couldnt be happier. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them.

Ooh La La: Bridal Feather Flowers

Beautiful hair clips with flowers feathers & colorful shoes are two of the most trendy bridal accessories. Well these gorgeous trends are a bandwagon you'll definitely want want to jump on.

This weekend my bride wore her mom's dress & mantilla veil. It was a timeless look which screams "Vintage Goddess"! Let me tell you Tammy rocked the vintage like no other. Although she loved the mantilla she wanted to change things up for photos with the classic car and for the reception. So she asked her photog-pinmeupcouture girl (that's me) :-) to make her a feather flower to match her dress also with a vintage feel. I think that it turned out perfect.

.

Here is Tammy wearing her mom's Mantilla....just beautiful!
